Learning ISA Server 2006: A practical approach - 3 Days Overview: The course is designed to teach the practical side of ISA Server 2006 and how to deploy, manage and troubleshoot it. The course is 3 days in duration consisting of 1/2 day theory and 2 1/2 days of practical work where an entire infrastructure is built as per the network diagram bellow: click here for high res diagram
The practical aspect steps the delegates through the process of implementing ISA in its common deployment scenario, as a web proxy at head office. It then shows how ISA can comfortably perform additional firewalling tasks and grow into becoming the head office firewall. As the company grows, a branch office is created which also has its own ISA Firewall, the 2 ISA servers are then connected to provided connectivity between the HQ and branch office LAN. Building the above infrastructure from beginning to end gives the delegate the understanding of the process and context for performing tasks. Many other courses perform lab work in isolation, but this course builds from one section to the next as would typically happen in the real world. The lab is built in Virtual PC's on the delegates own laptop so they can be taken away for further learning. Course Outline: Day 1: Theory Day 1: Practical Day 2: Practical Day 3: Practical Configuring ISA for remote access VPN connections Configuring site-to-site VPN's Configuring AD replication over ISA site-to-site VPN's
